Delicious food, lovely environment, I can see why this place is always packed. There's fortunately usually a bar seat or two available. Ordered the shrimp ceviche and the wagyu tartare. Really love the base of the ceviche, it was this spicy red tomato base, and the dish had great texture and a crunch. The tartare was amazing, lots of flavor, and love the bread that comes with it. Wish I had stomach space to order more but gives me reason to come back!

The food was delicious. The staff were great. We appreciated the pet-friendly patio! Wonderful experience overall.

Their bread!!! Crispy crust, super soft and fluffy inside, and the slightest hint warm served with softened butter. I came here for a quick lunch and got the gumbo and the banana tart. Gumbo was solid and smokier than other versions I've tried. Banana tart was delish!

What an amazing spot for dinner. Great food, service, and overall experience. We sat outside and it was perfect.

Truly a super gem in New Orleans, a shining example of service, quality, and excellence all around. I've heard of you want a real gumbo you eat it here and I would second that statement. The tuna crudo was delicate and memorable. It melted o in my mouth. The orange, olives and mint were diabolically delightful. The cornmeal crusted oysters were juicy and served with a side of cole slaw. The hot sauce had a KICK. I learned there was a bit of horseradish added to their house hot sauce. A tasty kick appropriate for the delicate treats. The fried chicken sandwich and the agnolotti were to die for. I can't say enough about this eatery. I only wish I could take them home with me.

It was simply amazing! Weirdly enough our friends and I still talk about the thrice (triple) fried French fries. Also, if you sit outside there are some great views

This was a world class meal from start to finish. Two small plates stood out: Housemade Spaghetti (think glorified carbonara) and Beef Short Ribs. Three great entrees: Duck leg confit (signature dish), halibut on home made risotto (stellar) and Lousiana jumbo shrimp (think Lousiana-style bbq shrimp). Extensive wine menu (with a few that were reasonably priced IMHO). Fresh bread free of charge! I hate when you have to pay for bread. And the Banana Brown Butter Tart was perfection (think bananas foster and crème brule in a pie form). Least favorites (still good if you like these sorts of dishes): Grilled summer squash and Flourless chocolate cake. It was a tad loud but we got used to it and, at least, folks were glad to be there. Servers were attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The St. Charles street car rolled by every so often to remind you of the venue's historic location.

Corner, airy, fashionable restaurant. I started my meal with the classic gumbo - shrimp and crawfish, y'all. Had that file gumbo distinctive flavor that I longed for. I also had their Sancerre by-the-glass - complex and interesting. I then enjoyed the squash salad. Get this! The squash cubes are marinated in Italian dressing, greatly adding that oregano and basil tastes and filling the cubes with lots of flavor. I finished with the cornmeal-coated and lightly fried oysters. I liked the vibe in the place. Many folks were enjoying the cozy bar. Michael checked on me often.

I was completely blown away by Herbsaint!! The duck was the highlight of my entire week-long gastronomic trip, easily one of the best meals I had. The duck was cooked to perfection in its own fat, the duck was incredibly tender and flavorful. The skin was crispy, and was a perfect contrast to the duck meat that melts in your mouth. Accompanying the duck was dirty rice, which is an impeccable addition to the dish. The rice is seasoned wonderfully and completes the duck and adds depth to the meal. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff who were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance is also welcoming and sophisticated which enhances the dining experience. If you're in New Orleans, Herbsaint is an absolute must visit!
